Anti-Aging For The Body – Get A Glow All Over

Pretty skinWe all spend a lot of time thinking about what we are doing to keep our faces looking youthful and fresh, but what about the rest of ourselves?  I want you all to know that you can reduce the signs of aging on your body, too! Yeah! The skin on our bodies can get dry, wrinkled and dull.  So how about some Anti-aging and Skin Care for the body!

How? By the use of a daily exfoliant specifically designed for the body. These products come in the form of scrubs or bar soaps. Also available are loofahs and small plastic nets in the form of a puff that you massage your body with.

The scrubs and soaps contain particles made from ground nuts or seeds. Salts and sugar are also common ingredients. Some contain tiny little man made plastic beads. Really, they all work very well.

The important thing for me in choosing a product is scent. Frankly, I do not want to smell like a fruit salad. So I tend to go for products that have a very subtle scent or none at all.

And why do you need to exfoliate your body? For the same reasons you exfoliate your face! You want to continually remove dead cells that dull your skin. Your body can handle the more aggressive ground seeds and nuts, your face can not. So, never, ever use a body product on your face!

After you have exfoliated your body you need to follow up with a lotion for moisture. There are lotions available now that have anti-aging ingredients in them designed to keep your body fresh and supple. Use them! Why not! They will only help you look better all over!

Sunscreen is important here too if your arms and legs are exposed, to reduce damage and loss of elastin and collagen from sun induced free radicals. You want to protect your body skin just like you would your face. Also many7c8527de554ae7b3aa605a77497390fd lotions already contain sunscreen so look for those and save yourself an extra step!

So there you have it, some very simple things to do, nothing fancy!

  • I love the feeling of freshly exfoliated skin. It literally makes you look and feel younger. I tend to go for the organic, all-natural scrubs like walnut shell or sea salt.
  • Those are good choices, Kellie. I like them , too. I have a nice one, a bit minty, at my Wrinkle Free Skin Care Link (top of blog) called Liquid Body Lufra, it has walnut shells and works like a dream!
