Pure squalane is what is found in most cosmetics as an emollient and moisturizer. Squalene is what is in the olive oil and other plants. Both work well, all depends on your budget! I buy pure squalane and it is very, very light, much lighter than olive oil and supposed to be more concentrated with the good things for your skin.
