Skin Care Ingredients: Bugs, Snails and….

This time I’m not going to tell you about some great anti-aging ingredient, what it does and why you should use it.  No, this time I have found something that is truly bizarre, if you ask me.

I was checking out some skin care info, you know, just surfing around to see what’s up. And I came across this article that seriously blew me away. I do know that there are some wild and wicked things in some of those potions and lotions we women use. But really now….

This article made me jump up and check out some labels, like real quick. And I am happy to say I found none of the things I just read about in the ingredient lists of my own skin care. I am a bit concerned about a lipstick or two. The tubes don’t have ingredients listed on them, that is on the box that you throw away. Hopefully there are no ground bugs in mine. If there are, well it hasn’t hurt me yet. I just don’t like thinking about it. So I won’t.

But some of this other stuff, if it was in my skin care I would have to throw it out. I have a really strong “ewwww” factor. You already know that if you have read my post on Emu Oil. Rendered bird fat. Just can’t go there. No matter what Oprah says.

So here is that article I read, actually it is a slide show, at TotalBeauty.com Check it out. And don’t forget to come back and tell me what you think. Would you use a product containing any of these ingredients? Or not?

Just remembered,  I wrote a post on weird facials a while back, not as much of an ewww factor in that post, well maybe one… but it is a bit funny so if you haven’t checked it out and need a giggle after this post here ya go!

Thanks for sharing! Yes, a healthy diet that includes a variety of fruits and veggies is excellent for the skin. Never heard about the lime and water, lemon and water yes. What is the difference in the lime vs lemon?

A good quantity of water everyday helps in retaining the moisture of
your skin and keeping skin disorders away. Fruits and vegetables in your
daily diet release a lot of water into your system. Lime and hot water
every morning detoxifies your body, purifies your blood and leaves your
    skin looking healthy.
