Beautiful Quotations
Being in the Beauty Industry as a facialist, basically selling the image of beauty (I also did Special Event Make-Up, again the selling of beauty, or perhaps the illusion of beauty), I had opportunity to hear many different things said by many women about beauty and self image. And on being a woman.
A lot of famous women, considered to be beautiful by many, have had some very interesting, touching, inspiring and often funny things to say on the subject of beauty and being female.
So I am going to share some with you. And invite you to send a favorite quote of
yours to me via my “Contact” page so I can include it here. So this page will grow over time, as you and I add to it.
This first quote is by Audrey Hepburn. It has nothing to do with anti-aging, wrinkles, skin care or the like. It is simply about being beautiful….
For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes,
Seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure,
Share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise,
Walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things,
Have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed,
And redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
You will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.Audrey Hepburn
“I don’t mind being burdened with being glamorous and sexual.
Beauty and femininity are ageless and can’t be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won’t like this, cannot be manufactured. Not real glamour; it’s based on femininity. We are all born sexual creatures, thank God, but it’s a pity so many people despise and crush this natural gift. Art, real art, comes from it, everything.”
Marilyn Monroe
