Skin Care Lies on the Internet – Don’t Be Fooled!

Everything__by_R__SinYes, lies on the Internet! Whoa, really, what some people will lower themselves to……

I have to share this with you. I mentioned in another article that I had seen things on the internet that really made me angry. So I want to show you an example. I feel that you have the right to know that you can be pulled in by an individual telling a complete lie and be sorely disappointed.

I can’t remember where I originally saw this woman’s blog. Or maybe it was HubPages, something like that. I tried to find it again so I could bookmark it to show someone else and it had disappeared. Finally I found it again, but now it isn’t really a blog because you can’t leave a comment. It is a sales page. One that is full of untruths.

First of all, this is the third time I have seen the before and after photo used, claiming it is an actual photo of the person blogging/advertising and using the recommended product. It isn’t. It is a photo of a woman named Anita Wilson. She is a distributor of another skin care product specializing in anti-aging (Nu Skin). Her photo has been ripped off by women selling other skin care products. All claiming to be the woman in the photo and the incredible results to be the result of what they are selling. And all the people doing this are selling the same stuff. And if what they are selling is so phenomenal, why aren’t they showing their own faces and results? Ummm, because they can’t?

I actually tried to find this woman named below. Why? Because she claims to live in the exact same town I live in! She does not exist under that name. Additionally, all the women who have used this photo and sell this product (that I have run across) claim to be a woman of 45 or 46 with 3 children. Weird, if you ask me.

A point I’d like to make. If you are intrigued by a product you see online, make sure you have access to the person selling it by email or phone. Make sure they have a real company sponsored website of their own. Make contact and get a feel for that person whether it is through blog comments, direct contact by email and/or phone, or through a company sponsored website. Ask to see info on actual clinical studies of the product conducted by a 3rd party.

Don’t get ripped off or set yourself up for disappointment. Only purchase products from a reputable company with a history in anti-aging skin care products. And check to see if there is a return policy and exactly what it is. If it is a device you are purchasing, find out where it is made and if it includes a warranty.

Ladies, be careful out there! It is a big world and not perfect!

Now check out the excerpt below!

Hey! I’m Heather McKenney, A 45-year-old mother of 3 from Brookfield, CT.

I started this little blog to share my experiences with different anti-aging methods. Believe me, I have tried almost everything out there.

I started googling, stumbled onto something…and this is me now:

Anita Williams Results Photo

I did some googling and found some great reviews about two cutting-edge anti aging products.

The first one has been featured all over television and is a well known product called Resveratrol Ultra capsules, containing high doses of resveratrol. The second product is an anti-aging cream, one that I heard about after is was named 2008 Skin Care Product of the Year, and it is called Pliatrol. When I was doing my research, I found out both companies offer free trials of their products, so I decided to order a sample of both to see what would happen if I combined them and used them on alternating days…and the rest is history (along with over half the wrinkles I used to have. Haha.).

So….Ladies, that is my story and I’m sticking to it!

And if you don’t believe me then go do a Google search on Anita Wilson, you’ll see who she is and find out that she has initiated a law suit to stop these women from using her photo to do untruthful advertising.
