Are you aware that certain types of ingredients in your products need to be protected from air (oxygen) and light?

Products that contain certain anti-aging ingredients can be greatly and very quickly compromised by the lack of proper packaging. Want to know the worst type of packaging for anti-aging ingredients? Jars, or bottles that do not have a pin hole squeeze top or pump. Anti-Aging and Peptides: What About Them?

Peptides?Yes, what about those peptides? I mentioned peptides and the importance of having peptides in your products in a previous post“Collagen Cream, Ya Think?” .

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, proteins. These have the ability to penetrate your skin and have a positive effect on your skin’s fibroblasts. Peptides communicate with the fibroblast regrading loss of youthful function and degraded DNA (also mentioned in the referenced post above). Like I said before, have a little chat, a pep talk. Skin Care Basics – You Better Be Doing At Least This.

The Rundown…

Cleanse!1~ Cleanse, of course! Do it thoroughly and use a gentle circular motion. Rinse well, pat dry.

2~ Toner. Toning removes any leftover residue from your cleanser if applied with a cotton pad. Some include cell communicating ingredients that contain wrinkle reducing properties.
